I shivered and moved back.

'Hey, Mr cheesy, we came here so you can show me around and not for this," I said though I was already feeling hot.

'True, but I can't think straight with you very close to me, and looking very hot."


'Let's go, Axel , there will be time for that later."

'I would take that as a promise, fine, come let me show you around."

'Wow, this place is actually more beautiful than I thought!"

'True, and there's more." My eyes light up.


"Tell me," I said giggling. I stopped, feeling embarrassed as I'm sure I had behave like a five-year old girl.

As if he could read my thoughts, he smiled and held me .

'It's cute actually," and I blushed.

"Back to what I was saying, if you are inside and you don't want me to get access all you have to do is to pull this lever," he said pointing to a black lever.

"No need to show me that, I wouldn't be needing it," I said confidently. Wondering if something had made him install the lever.

"I once made Derek have access to this place, and when his mate died, I came here to give myself a timeout and he came in trying to stab me with a silver dagger. I overpowered him and I had to ask Isabella to help me remove his identification from the tree while removing the tree's memory from his head."

I patted him, "I'm sorry about that, don't disturb yourself about him, I'm sure he will believe you one day."

We came out , I was shocked to see it was already dark and I looked at Axel.

'How come it's already evening, we just entered here?"

"That's how the magical house is, time moves slowly in there and faster out here."

"Oh!" I said.

He held my hands and went back to the palace when Damian was walking with a beautiful lady with jet black hair.

He was smiling at what she was saying oblivious of our presence. I was smiling at the funny faces she was making when I chuckled loudly, and their heads snapped to our direction, her cheeks got red in embarrassment. Damian laughed nervously.

'I'm sorry, your highness, ummm Avery this is the Alpha; our Alpha, and Lady Vanessa, Your highnesses this is my mate Avery," he introduced, and Avery bowed.

'Good evening, your highness, good evening, Lady Vanessa," she greeted us. Axel nodded and I smiled at her.

"How are you doing, Avery?" I asked.

"Very well, you highness," she replied, smiling at me with her beautiful dentition.

'Come, let's go in for dinner," Axel offered, and led the way.

Reaching the dining room, I sat down beside Axel, and Avery sat down beside me . Damian was at the other side of the table as mandated of him.

Dinner was served, Avery ate very little, so, I touched her knees to calm her down. I knew she was tensed, who wouldn't be in Axel's presence.

After eating, the men soon began talking about the pack, I got bored.

'Avery, come let's leave here, they are making it boring," I whispered, and she smiled mischievously. Good, finally I've seen someone who shared my zeal in playing mischievous pranks, and not uptight in getting power like the women in the palace.

We snicked out and went into the kitchen to pop some popcorn, and later, to watch some movies.

We went into the movie room, I didn't know the type of movies she was into.

'So, which movie do you want to watch?" I asked her, and her eyes lit up.

'Well, there's this movie that was released recently, I want to watch it, but whenever you want, it's fine, your highness," she replied.

'Well, I want to watch what you want, so what's the name of the movie you want to watch, so we can download it," I said looking at her.

"Zombie Apocalypse," she said, and I looked at her in fear, a horror movie, but I wasn't ready to let her feel I'm afraid.

'Okay," I said, as I downloaded the movie on Netflix, I was already getting scared from the cover and I wondered what state I would be in when watching the actual movie.

The movie started, and I held the chair I was sitting in fear. Avery was anything but scared, she was laughing, I looked at her in surprise.

'Sorry, it's just funny how the people are running instead of trying to keep the zombies in check," she said, laughing.


"Hey love, I miss you a lot." A voice I now know was Kael. I rolled my eyes and ignored him.

"Love, how was your day? I tried talking to you throughout the day but something was blocking me off." He said and I titled my head in surprise. What could be blocking him. When I remembered the tree house was magical and it was impenetrable by any force.

I was lost in my thoughts that I did know Avery was already looking at me worriedly.

'Lady Vanessa, Are you okay? You weren't responding, and I have been calling you for sometime now."

'I'm fine, sorry for zoning out on you," I said smiling lightly.

'Don't apologize, Lady Vanessa, I was just worried," she said as she smiled.

The door opened and Axel walked in.

"Avery, Damian is waiting for you in the hall," he said coldly. She nodded.

"Goodbye, Lady Vanessa, I really enjoyed your company," she said sweetly as she smiled. Her smile was contagious and I smiled back at her. She left.

'Pumpkin," Axel said, huskly looking at me like I was a candy.

' Yes."

'Let's go to our room, we need to talk about something." He helped me up.

When we got to the room, I saw the book Kael gave to me glowing.

Axel was also surprised, suddenly the book lunged for me, and it hit me on my forehead. I began to feel dizzy, as I saw him smiling at me.
