JASON P.O.V


I went back back home feeling insulted and embarrassed just by a mere little boy : a mere concubine's son.

I needed to take him down and I would stop at nothing till I see that throne becomes mine. A foolproof plan is what I need now to take Axel down once and forever, but how?

I was angry at my brother for giving the throne to Axel in the first place, what was he thinking, and what did his mom do to my brother for him to love her that much as to give her son the throne? But it doesn't matter anymore.


Melissa walked into my room looking at me worriedly, I gestured for her to come closer, I need her now I'm feeling very bad, that's the power of one's mate, the other would always be there for you in your highs and lows.

'What did Axel do this time around?" She asked knowing how stubborn Axel can be.


'He's making his concubine a Luna, the one everybody's talking about."

"Vanessa?"

"Yes, that's her name. And the elders tried to warn him but you know how he behaves, he listens to nobody but himself."


'But why, isn't that against the laws of the pack?" She asked, and I smiled sadly at her.

'Yes, it is, but he's the law and he can mend it anytime and anywhere to suit whatever he wants.


"We really need to remove him for you to be the Alpha," she said. I smiled at her, she always got my back no matter the decisions I take.

"And you, my beautiful and well deserved Luna," I said and she smiled.

A knock sounded on my office door, I looked towards contemplating answering or ignoring.

'Go away," I said but Melissa held me.


'No, let's know who's that, it might be important to us." She could be right, well she's always right.

'Okay fine, come in," I said and the door opened and Nate my bodyguard came in kneeling and he raised a letter towards me.

'A letter from someone who refused to disclose a name," he said, handing the letter to me, I got curious.

'You may go," Melissa told him and he nodded leaving.

'Your royal highness Prince Jason.

I have an information that would benefit you and I hope you use it well. The concubine Axel wants to crown Luna is nothing but a human, and I'm sure you can't let a lowly human rule over you."


I looked up after reading the letter out so Melissa can know its contents. She looked up shocked and surprised.

"What should I do Melissa?"

"Don't tell Axel about that, that's too stupid, I wonder, whoever wrote this seems the person is jealous of her. Removing Axel from the throne is our only problem and not that human girl. Once Axel is down, we don't have any problem with pushing her down." She said and I nodded.

"But I would threaten her about it to fuel her fear."

'Okay, that's okay though," Melissa said.

'I have a plan for us to use against Axel," she said and I came closer. She whispered in to my ear, my face beamed with joy as she told me what she had in mind.

'You are a very smart woman, I never regret having you as a mate."

"So do I." Yeah I'm only this gentle when I'm with Melissa.

After coming out of a meeting with Axel and the other Elders, I saw Vanessa going to the library.

Immediately Axel walked into his office, I followed her and closed the door behind me gently.

She turned and greeted me, thinking I was coming for some books .

'So you are a human," I said deliberately aloud so she can hear, and I could hear her heart pounding faster than normal. She didn't say anything, but she was staring at me with fear in her eyes.

'How did you know?" She managed to ask.

'I couldn't smell your wolf, and I did some spells and you were found to be human." I lied so I can install fear into her.

'How did you manage to fool Axel all this while?"

'I didn't fool him, but I haven't thought about it," she said quivering

"Oh really, I must say you are quite a clever young lady like my mate Melissa, but she is wiser."

"What if I tell Axel about your dirty huge lie? Do you know what would happen to you?" I asked.

"Please don't, Axel will feel deceived and he will hate me all his life," she said with tears streaming down her cheeks.

'Don't cry, I will not, because I don't want to, and also because Melissa said not to… but know this, if you ever think of trying anything funny with me, remember I have your secrets in my palm." She nodded, still sobbing.

'Stop crying young lady, I don't like seeing women cry, it hurts my heart," I said as a matter of fact handing her a tissue.

She looked at me surprised, but she still collected it and cleaned her eyes.

'That's much better now. And remember, do not tell any other soul that I spoke to you concerning this, else you will start attracting all unnecessary questions from others." She nodded.

"Good, I will take my leave now human," I said laughing.

I walked out leaving Vanessa dejected and scared. I wouldn't have done something like that, but the search for power makes us do terrible things.

And I can't back down now, not when I have not gotten my aim, no never.

I remembered the only human that shook my world, Bridget. I will never forgive myself for what happened to her.

'It's a pity what happened to her, I wish I have the power to rewind the time, I will do it without hesitating," I whispered to myself, as I walk away as dejected as Vanessa, if not worse
