'Looking for this?" A familiar voice said, holding up a luggage and I turned, it was Emily.


"Emily…" I was going to hug her for comfort, but she sneered and pushed me away.

'Stop this already, can't you see I am the one that did all this? You are just too naive to think that everybody has good intend like you. I was the one that told the pack, and I also hired the man in a cloak to help make everything perfect," Emily said, smiling evilly.

'What …You? Why?" I gasped, holding my chest at the pain in my heart from the betrayal.


"Yes me, Emily, before you came, I was the Alpha's favorite, but you came and stole everything from me, and you think I will sit and watch you become the Luna? No, I won't, and you made it a lot easier by telling me your secrets. I wrote a letter to Axel's uncle so he can expose you without you knowing I told him about it.



But he didn't move to my plan, and so I went for my plan B," she said, laughing at her evil act. Jason stared at her in surprise.

"So you were the one that sent the letter? And I thought it was someone more capable," he said, and frowned. He left immediately.

"Now this is your luggage, I packed it for you on time. Leave and never return so I can get back my place in the Alpha's heart." She pushed the luggage to me and turned laughing.


'So you are this conceited and evil? I thought you were my best friend," I said, and she stopped in her track.

'Power makes men do terrible things, the world is a game and power is the tools needed to win. You either win or you lose. And I Emily must win."

"So, all this was just for the power you will get? And I trusted you, but power cloaked your sense of reasoning." She turned.


"Don't you dare talk to me in that manner, else I will scream, and he will have you killed. I should have killed you when I had the chance but my emotions got over, otherwise, you would have died before Hannah."

"I don't care. You ruined my life because of your selfish goal, I will come back for you."

I stood up and began leaving the palace sluggishly as I was still trying to control my sobs.

'Vanessa, please wait." It was Camille and Octavia.

'I'm so sorry for what happened to you," she said sadly, and Octavia looked sad too.

"I know I have been mean to you since you came but I didn't wish you all this, sorry for all I did."

"Are you telling me sorry?" I asked, looking at her more closely. She smiled as she pulled me into a hug and Camille joined. When she broke the hug.

'Take this money, you will need it alot since you would be on your own, that's all I could find," she said, and I looked at her with gratitude.

"Thank you so much, I wasn't expecting this."

"And take this amulet, it's for protection and good luck," Camille said, putting it round my neck.

'I should start leaving now before the Alpha changes his mind, and kills me instead. I love you guys so much," I said laughing sadly. They nodded and ran inside so Axel wouldn't see that they were helping me.


Walking sluggishly as I came out of the palace's gate.


'Vanessa, you don't have to go through all this, I will always love you for who you are and not what you are, come with me," Kael said as he came to my front when I left the palace gates.


"No," I said and continued walking.


"Vanessa, stop right there! You still love someone that didn't bother to know what happened before chasing and discarding you like you were a piece of rag."


"I lied to him, and his anger is justified," I said trying to hold the tears that was threatening to explode from my eyes.

'No it's not, no one should ever treat his or her mate like that, he was supposed to know if you lied intentionally or maybe it was something else entirely," he said loudly.

He was right but I didn't want to brush my ego more.

'Then come with me, I will keep you safe and happy. Reject him, and I will make you the happiest, and the most loved woman in the world."


'I want to leave Kael."

"No, stop being stubborn and follow me please."

"I don't want to."

"But..."

"I'm sure your ears are working perfectly well, she said she doesn't want to follow you, now let her go," Derek said, and I ran to him, he smiled and pulled me to his back protectively.

'Stay out of this," Kael said angrily.

"Leave or I will not hesitate to use this sacred water on you," Derek said and Kael hissed before leaving.

'Sorry about that, Vannie," he said.

'You don't hate me like Axel?" I asked, looking at him.

"No, I don't, I don't care."

' You don't, why."

'You did it for some good reasons, I trust your decisions but I don't blame Axel, he has always been surrounded by people who lie to get what they want so it hit him right in his heart when his mate did the same."

" But he should have asked me, I don't care anymore."

"You can come stay in my house till his anger subsides then we will sort it out. I'm sure he would understand when you explain everything to him.

'No, I'm not going to risk your friendship with him because of my own selfish interest. Thank you Derek."

While we were still talking, I shivered as a cold wind blew and a hand came over my mouth and I felt like I was tossed into the air. I felt like puking and when I felt the ground again, I was somewhere new entirely.
