AXEL POV.

Derek wasn't talking to me like I hurt his sister and not my mate. Damian too, childish men.

Jason hasn't said anything since the last time I threatened him in the throne's room. I was bothered because he was always ranting and telling me what his next plan was, but this silence signified that he's on something disastrous, and I needed to know what.

I called Damian in and he entered.

Damian bowed and looked at me with a 'you sent for me" look.

'I want a spy to be planted, and he should watch every one of Jason's movements; I want to know what he's on to." Damian nodded and began leaving without saying a word. I know he wasn't annoyed by the fight but because of what I did to Vanessa.

'Damian, stop." He stopped and turned to look at me.

'Did you think I did the right thing? And be honest with me."

'So you want me to tell you what I think, so you will fling me to the wall? What I think doesn't matter; you are the all-knowing Alpha; you can figure that out. I will take my leave now," he said quickly before I would say anything to him.

Maybe I deserved that; I shouldn't have chased her out without hearing her out, but I wasn't thinking straight, and chased the only woman I loved and the only woman that ever loved me genuinely.

But she lied to me all this while; if she had told me the truth from the beginning, I would have accepted hervwholeheartedly, and besides, I wasn't holding any grudges against humans.

I stood and went down to the pack's training field to inspect what the soldiers were doing. I saw Ferdinand the soilder, who was training Vanessa secretly. He smiled and bowed.

'Your highness, I haven't seen Lady Vanessa since I came back from the mission you sent me on."Grayson nudged him in his side, and he looked confused and walked away with him.

"What was that for?" He whispered, forgetting I could hear what everyone was saying miles away from where I was standing.

'She's human," Grayson said, and Ferdinand looked at him confusedly.

"So? What's wrong with that?" He asked.

"Nothing but the Alpha chased her away."

'That's unfair; humans aren't that bad, especially Lady Vanessa; she's a good woman," He said it angrily.

'We weren't happy with his decision, but what can we do? Even his uncle was surprised when the Alpha chased her out. I wish I saw her before she left; I would have kept her safe." Grayson said, sadly.

I was already tired of seeing everyone on her side; I was the Alpha, band they should be on my side and not hers.

I walked in angrily, and just then Damian was also walking down the same hallway as I was. He looked up and saw me, and he diverted into another route. I rolled my eyes as I went into my office.

I sent a guard to call Derek for me, and soon Derek came into my office, not his bubbling self.

'You sent for me," he said, looking out of the window.

'Yes, why have you been avoiding the palace since Vanessa left?"

'I didn't have anything to do here," he said, sharply.

'So you won't come here because Vanessa isn't here anymore?"

'Yes, Axel, yes, why should I? You want to know what I think?"

' Yes."

'Good, I think you don't deserve a mate like Vanessa; you threw a gem you had because it had a tiny flaw that wasn't visible. I'm very disappointed in you; she's just a human and not a monster that you should have chased in that manner. I wish she hadn't been taken by the strange wind; I would have taken her, made her reject you, and claimed her for myself," he spit angrily.

I was also very angry because he said he would take what was mine.

"How dare you say you will take her away from me?"He scoffed and looked into my eyes.

"You threw her, and you are saying I want to take her away from you. You won't understand the value of what you have until you lose it.

"Where is she?" I awoke thinking he was hiding her.

"Where is who? I told you immediately she was taken away by the mysterious wind so you could do something before it was too late, but you said you don't care. How much more ruthless can you be, Axel?" He was furious, and his anger was justified. I shouldn't have chased her, but I have done that already, and I wish I could find her and apologize to her.

"Fine, I shouldn't have done what I did, but I was angered by the lie; you know how much betrayal I have been through all my life, and when she did her's, I couldn't believe it, and I overreacted."

"But Vanessa was different; she would never hurt you intentionally, and you know that. So you are what?" He questioned, imploring me to apologize to him. The only person I have ever apologized to was Vanessa.

'The only person I have ever apologized to is Vanessa, and I can't say sorry but I regret my actions," he nodded, smirking.

'I'm forgiven, right?"

'If there's one person that you need to apologize to, that would be Vanessa, and man, you need to find her as soon as possible before that pesky vampire does. He's more committed to having her than you are. I could see determination in his eyes the moment we met," he said.

'I don't know why you are supporting her this much," I said, winking.

'She was the only one that understood the pain I went through when I thought you killed Isabella. She's my angel," he said, and left.

"I will find you, Vanessa, and even if it takes me my whole lifetime to make you forgive me, then I'm ready to do so," I said to the air.
