AXEL P.O.V


Sleeping on my bed without Vanessa was frustrating and lonely. I turned around relentlessly till I couldn't take it anymore. I rose and patted her side of the bed. I wasn't sleeping there anymore. I was still hoping I would make things right so I could find her.


I went down to my wine cabinet and took out a bottle of whiskey, sitting, I drank the contents of the whiskey straight from the bottle.



I regretted all my actions, why did I chase away my other half. Drowning myself in the burning taste of the alcohol, I tried to get drunk but my body seems to be fighting against me tonight.


'Arghhhhh!" I groaned and threw the bottle on the wall. Damian rushed in immediately and looked around protectively. When he saw me sitting and staring at him passively. He let his shoulders down, walking close to me he brought a chair and sat down.



'Why are you drinking, Axel? It won't solve the problem, rather it will leave you with a headache that releases the tension you are feeling," he whispered.


"I know, but I don't want to feel the pain I'm feeling right now. I wish I was in my right senses then. Will she ever forgive me?"


"Admitting you are wrong is the biggest step you have taken, finding her will be half a problem solved and making her forgive you would be the main obstacle you would face. Don't underestimate a woman."


"And how did you get this good with women affairs?" I couldn't help but ask.


"I grew up with ten sisters, each day was hell and when I found Avery she was one of them, always hanging up against me with them. I feel they love her more than they love me. Though it's frustrating, but I loved their closeness."


Damian was straying from our topic of discussion but I let him daydream about his mate, why should I stop him? I was the only foolish wolf that chased his mate. I thought.


'Ah, I'm sorry for diverting, the thing is, you should ask the witch to find her for you, to avoid more mishaps and hate from growing in her heart towards you."


"I have asked her to find her but she couldn't find any trace of her, except that she was taken by a dark wind. I wonder if she's fine." I said sadly.

"It's fine, you will find her and she will forgive you, but it will be very hard."

'What were you doing here at this hour of the night?" I asked .

'I was training with the soldiers, your uncle is quiet for too long and I don't trust him, so we will prepare ahead of them. Even the spy you asked me to send to watch him reported that he hasn't found anything suspicious about your uncle, which means he is acting more smarter than before," he said.

"That's true, recruit more soilders and train them more harder than before but make sure they are treated well, to avoid them getting malnourished," I said, and he left. I went back to bed.

The next morning, I woke up with a serious migraine. I took some drugs and went into the shower to freshen up. I wanted to rest today and sulk more in my agony.


I went down to the dining room and sat down while the maids were serving the food. One of them was giving me looks that she thought were seducing but it was rather pissing me off, since she's new here and she hasn't been informed of the type of man I am, I warned her.


'If you dare do that again, you will have your eyes in your palms," I growled, and she shivered in fear. They set out the table quickly and scurried away.


Octavia entered the dining room and was shocked to see me, she rolled her eyes and sat down on a seat very far from me. I was surprised though, but I didn't show it. Usually Octavia always wants to sit in my laps or the seat closer to mine, but she was ignoring me totally. I don't care, she can stay silent all she wishes.

"Some Alpha chased someone without listening to them," she said quietly, but loud enough for me to hear her. I stood and left the table.

Walking to my office, I was very frustrated. When I saw Emily walking down the hall with a see through dress that was showing all her body, I remembered when Vanessa wore the nightgown I purchased for her. It showed all her curves and her big breasts were visible. I got turned on only by thinking about her body. I groaned and closed my eyes.

'Are you okay, Alpha?" She used the opportunity to come closer to me with her hands going down to my boner. I groaned and dragged her to my office.

I refused to kiss or touch her body because I was very disgusted with any other woman except Vanessa. I turned her body and her face away from my sight. Maybe I won't feel that disgusted.. I wasn't getting excited and the disgust crept to my mouth, the bitter taste all over my taste buds.

'Get out!" I didn't know when I said that. But she looked hurt and she shook her head.

'No, I won't leave, you can't leave me like this after getting me this close."

'How dare you? If I touch it I bet you will have difficulty walking not from pleasure but from intense pain."

She shuddered and left crying.

I sat down and yelled, thank goodness for the soundproof, else my whole pack's soldiers would have flooded my room immediately.

Why did I chase her? I was feeling very terrible and empty.

'When you find her, I will never let her go," Lucian said growling.

"Me too Lucian, and I'm sorry for sending my mate away."

'I won't forgive you until you find her but I will only tolerate you for the meantime," he said.
