RACHEAL P.O.V

Two days later, we were still inside in the underground house waiting for Adam, as he hasn't come back and I was getting more and more worried.


'He will be fine," Rhea said, trying to soothe me. Hilda was preparing lunch quietly and she wasn't saying anything. I knew she was trying to act strong because of us.

'Are you sure, I don't want anything to happen to him?" I said with tears forming in my eyes. I couldn't help but get scared.

'Who's the optimistic lady that would cheer me up in difficult situations worse than this? I'm sure he would..."


The entrance opened and Adam's face showed in the entrance and he was smiling at Racheal.

I haven't noticed him yet so Rhea had to get my attention, and when I looked back, I screamed and ran up to him and jumped into his arms.


'I miss you so much Adam, I was so scared that something bad would happen to you," I said, crying as he patted my hair and kissed my neck. Hilda took the pot of oat porridge she was preparing and followed me at my back as we went out.


We walked away before he would say something hurtful to Rhea.


'Rhea got shot in her arms while trying to save me," l lied. Why was she given the credits for what she did? Rhea wanted to deny it but I winked and she shut up.


'Oh! Really? Thank you Rhea," Adam said gently.


"Thank you… Umm, you are welcome…" Rhea stuttered. l laughed as I was enjoying her plight. She quickly began leaving the room but she couldn't find the place I touched when we got in.

'Seems you are in a hurry to leave," I said. Adam opened the door and let her go through before we followed.

I was shocked to see the house ruined and the walls filled with gunshots. I gasped.

'Wow! Adam, they were really more persistent than before. We need to relocate," l said amused.

"Yeah, I thought the same thing so we are moving to our home on the mountain side."

"But it's too far and too dangerous to travel by land. Adam I will be stressed out if I dare go on such a trip." I was already hyperventilating only from the thought of it.


"Don't worry babe, I thought of everything. We would go with the help of Safrina." He said and my stomach clenched in anger as I thought of her. I don't know why I don't like her from the first day I set my eyes upon her.

'Why did your body stiffened when I said she would help us?" I didn't want to tell him but I didn't want to go with her.


'I don't want her to go with us, I don't like her," I admitted and he smiled.

"Fine, we won't go with her if you don't want us to. We can use our jet. Okay?" Adam said as he patted my hair.


"Okay." I knew I sounded childish but I don't care so long Safrina won't be coming with us.

Rhea was touching her injured arms as she looked out of the window. She was sad and I could tell what the problem was.

'Rhea, I will give you a potion to heal your wound so you can leave for the blood moon pack as soon as possible, to help us get that scroll. I need it now more than ever before. He said to Rhea. Rhea maybe thinking he hates her, but rather he was trying to hide his care for her to make her do the right thing as she was already in love with the Werewolf king.

'Okay," she replied, not looking at him. He wanted to say something else but I held him.

'Let her be, love isn't an emotion you get rid of easily," I whispered and he nodded his head.

Immediately, Adam's jet sounded above the roof and Rhea got startled. So she was not hearing what we were saying all the time.

'Rhea, come on, we need to leave here. It's not safe here," I said as I walked to her. Not my little Rhea getting all bothered. She looked at me and smiled sadly.

'Where are we going? But Adam said I will have to complete my mission in the blood moon pack," she asked, looking at him scared. Why was she so frightened of him? Adam sensed her fear of him and he left.

'Why are you scared of him? I have told you he won't hurt you." She nodded.

"Come, let's go." She followed me quietly.

Yes, Adam is scary, even to me the first time I saw him, but if you get to understand what he's going through then you will understand why he acts this way.

We got to the rooftop and the jet was making a hell of noise. Adam helped me in, and he wanted to help her in but she stepped back afraid, then she shook her head and turned around to the other side and I helped her in. Adam rolled his eyes. And the jet started moving off.

'Wait for meee." Hilda screamed from the ground and Adam cursed.

'Let down the ladder and stop moving," he ordered the Pilot and Hilda began climbing up, she got in and quickly fastened her seat belt..

'I can't believe you people forgot about me," she said, looking out scared.

'Sorry Hilda, my head was so filled. Good thing you came up." I apologized and she smiled immediately.

Rhea was silent looking down, a tear dropped down her eyes and she quickly wiped it away looking to see if Adam saw it and she breathed out in relief when she saw he didn't notice her.

But that's far from it, I'm sure Adam saw her but he just decided to give her privacy to avoid scaring her more.
