I woke up feeling myself locked in a tight embrace. I tried releasing myself but I opened my eyes, and I saw it was Kael and it was still dark.


'Go back to sleep, it's still night, ten pm in the evening," he said smiling.

"You aren't sleeping. Why?"

"I can't sleep, not with your body this close to me, I might lose all my restraints and do something that will make you hate me." I laughed nervously.


'Don't worry, I will help myself later in the bathroom," he said winking.

'Now go to bed so you can wake up fully charged and more beautiful, love," he said, and I closed my eyes but I opened them after thinking about something.


I moved my head up and kissed him on his lips, he stiffened and held me more closely.

'Vanessa don't make me lose my self-control, and do something pleasurable that will make you moan and squirm under me. I wish you were in my house already so that I can get you cleared of Axel's scent, and I can be able to do the things I want to do with you without any hesitation," he said, and I grew wet but I kept quiet and closed my eyes tightly.

'Little one, I haven't done anything and I can already perceive your arousal, I wonder how sweet you would taste when I claim you," he added.

'Now sleep love," he said.

'Will you be here when I wake up in the morning?" I asked hoping he would say yes.

"Love you know I want to say yes, but I can't hold myself for too long. Beside, I don't want to get you into trouble since you have something to do here before coming with me," he explained and I felt a little bit sad.

'I understand," I whispered.

"But don't worry, next time I will stay till morning so I can see your beautiful face when you wake up in the morning," he said, and I blushed.

'Now for the last time sleep, love," he said and I could feel sleep pulling me in and I gave in and slept like a baby.

The next morning, I woke up early to find myself in an empty bed, I was sad but I knew he can't stay here for too long.

I quickly rushed to the kitchen with my plates, after washing them I went back up before Adam will meet me down here. I wasn't ready for his curses and shouts.

I saw Hilda coming into the kitchen to start her daily routine of chores and I hid before scampering off to my room.

I showered and sat down brushing my hair in front of the vanity mirror in my room. I heard the door opening and rushed to my window to see who was going out.

Adam was going out in his car with two of his men and he was giving Racheal a goodbye kiss. He left and she went into the house. I went back and continued brushing my hair when a knock sounded on my door. I dropped the brush and opened the door to meet Racheal smiling at me.

'He's gone now so, you can come out. I knew you weren't going to come out until he left. I even knew when you went to the kitchen to drop your plates," she said smiling at me. I smiled back.

"Good morning Racheal, I'm sorry for what I did yesterday. Hope you both didn't get into a fight because of my stupid actions?"

"No we didn't, he only apologized to me and we made up." She was about saying something else when Hilda walked to us looking more happy than ever.

'Good morning Madam. Good morning Miss Rhea. Breakfast is ready," she said as she was beaming with smiles. This is the happiest I have ever seen Hilda be.

'Is everything alright, Hilda?" Racheal asked looking at her amazed.

'Yes ma'am," she said as she turned, hurrying away.

"Something is up with her. Are you sure she and James didn't meet yesterday. Maybe they made up and that's why she's very happy unlike her gloomy expression," I said and Racheal smiled.

"That's true. Well, I'm happy for her because she deserves to be with the man she loves happily. Now let's go down and forget about their affairs," She said as she drew me down to the dinning room.

We sat down and James came into the house smiling at Hilda while she was serving breakfast. Now I was certain something had happened between the both of them.

'Hilda what happened? You are radiating this morning and so is James," Racheal asked and her face turned tomato red.

'Nothing ma'am," she denied and I laughed.

'Are you sure you are not lying to me?" Racheal insisted.

'Sorry madam, it's just I and James reconciled last night and I'm feeling happy and relaxed finally," she finally admitted and I smiled too. That was sweet.

'Aww Hilda that's nice and it calls for celebration," Racheal said and Hilda shook her head.

'No need ma'am. You been happy for us is already enough. Thank you ma'am."

'I insist. After breakfast we would take a toast to your reunion."

"Thank you ma'am. I will go tell James about it he will be very happy," she said and left.

"You are really an amazing soul Racheal." I couldn't hold myself from saying. I couldn't believe such good humans still exist.

"It's nothing Rhea. We get more with sugar than with salt, that's life." She said calmly and I hugged her which she held me tight.

'Don't worry you and Axel will get back together. It's your destiny," she whispered.


"Are you sure? He hates me already and I don't want to go back to him."

"Don't worry everything will be alright at the end. Tough times never last but tough people do," she said and I smiled hugging her more.

'Now let's eat." She released me smiling.
