RHEA P.O.V

I woke up in the morning to an empty bed, I rose and went into the bathroom to freshen up myself. I went out of my room. Racheal was cooking and I was surprised why she was the one cooking instead of Hilda.


'Good morning, Racheal," I greeted, coming close to her.

'Good morning, little one," she replied, smiling as she returned her attention back to her cooking.

'What are you cooking, and why are you cooking?? Where is Hilda? Is she sick?"


'Rhea hold your brake on the questions, and to answer your questions, I'm making strawberry shortcake with any drink of y'all choice. And I'm cooking because I want to, so I gave Hilda a break, and to have some time with James. Did I satisfy your curiosity?" She said, smiling as she opened the oven to bring out the cake and it's aroma was heavenly.

'Mhmmm, it smells tasty and delicious. I can't wait to have a bite." I said, as I rushed to set the table.


"Nice one Rhea, you are doing that so I won't have anything to say right. Smart move." And we laughed while sitting down.

'Is Adam at home?" I asked, looking at the stairs.

"Yes, don't mind anything he says. I'm here," she said, rubbing my hand. Immediately I heard Adam's footsteps at the stairs. I bent my head down as I continued eating. The shortcake was so delicious, but I couldn't savor it because of Adam's overbearing presence.

'Argh!" He groaned and I looked up but Racheal was smiling at me. I looked at her confusedly but I didn't say anything.

"Umm! Rhea, I'm sorry for what I did to you. I shouldn't have done that and I'm very sorry," Adam apologized, and I looked up to be sure he was the one apologizing sincerely.

'Huh? Me??" I asked confusedly,dropping my fork.

"Yes you. So, do you forgive me?" He was smiling tightly at me and I knew instantly that this wasn't on his own accord. Rachael forced him to apologize.

"Yes," Was all I could say.

"Okay," he replied, looking at Racheal and she smiled at him.

"I will be leaving now, I have so much to do at the office. I will be back late so don't wait," he said kissing her lips.


"Byee," she said, and I rolled my eyes playfully.

"Someone is jealous," she sang, drumming her fingers on the table..

"That someone is not me, I'm sure of that," I smiled.

'I'm bored. But I don't know what to do for fun. Do you have any games we can play."

"There's nothing fun to do here. Or we can try out new recipes from YouTube."

'I'm too lazy to cook. I want to do something funny," she whined like a hormonal teenager. I looked at her with surprise written all over my face. I have never seen this side of Racheal, she sounded so childish down to her pouty lips.

' I don't have anything to wear, and I don't know where Adam's black card is." She said rummaging through his closet.

'Why don't you call him and stop stressing yourself?" I suggested as I helped her to find the card.

'You are right. Why didn't I think of that?" She asked for her phone on the bed, hitting her left foot on the bedpost making her lose balance as she fell down.

"Ouch. Shit!" She muttered.

"Sorry Rachael. Come sit down." I helped her.

She picked up her phone dialing Adam's number. He answered immediately like he was waiting for her call.

'He said it's in his study." She stood up from the bed and we left for his study.

"I'm going to dress. I won't take your time, don't worry." She dashed into her room.

I went into mine looking through my clothes not knowing what to wear, not that I had lots of choices. I settled for high waist jeans and an off shoulder blouse matching it down with a pair of sneakers. I applied a little lipgloss and mascara to accentuate my facial looks. I swirled at the front of the mirror, I looked absolutely gorgeous.

'Rhea are you done?" Racheal called out from my door. I ran to the door.

"I'm done," I said, closing my door as we left for the garage. The chauffeur opened the door and we entered.

"Racheal please if you wouldn't mind let's not go to an overpopulated mall. I don't want to meet any of Axel's men by chance."

'No problem." And she told the chauffeur where to go.

Twenty minutes into the drive, Racheal's phone rang and it was Adam.

'Where are you right now babe?" He asked, I couldn't hear what he was saying because the car was echoing.

'On my way to the mall. Rhea is here with me." She looked at me as she called my name.


"Go back now, some wolves were seen around our home. Go back now!" He ordered.

"Matthew, reverse we are going back home." Matthew nodded and he turned driving back home faster.

'Have you turned back? Please go back. They are Axel's men and they are looking for Rhea. So ask Matthew to drive faster."


'Don't worry, we are going back. We are almost there." I looked out of my window worriedly. When I wanted to pull my head in I saw something like a wolf shifting in a man and the man was Grayson. Now I was really sure Axel was after me. I have to cover my scent else they will get us easily.

'Is there perfume? I have spotted one of Axel's men and I need to cover my scent." I said and Matthew handed me a car scented spray.


'Thank you." I sprayed it inside the car and outside as we drove past Grayson. He wrinkled his nose when we drove past and he looked up suddenly but we turned immediately.


'That was close," Racheal said, breathing out as she looked out of the window for any sight of them.

'Or so," I thought.
