What made her change her mind? She had always wanted to be the Luna.





'Okay," Axel answered nonchalantly. I was surprised. Why was he sounding like she was doing him a favor by leaving?





'Thank you. And I would need some cash if you have any to spare."




'Sure, I will sign you a check of ten million dollars." Octavia gasped and she screamed happily.




'Thank you so much, I didn't know you would agree to give me, but you did, and it is this huge amount of money." She was very excited.




'That's for any damage I might have caused you in the past. And I have a deal for you," he said, and I put my head on the door more closely so I could hear what he wanted to say more closely.




'If you can convince more of the concubines to leave, then I would give you a million dollars for as many as you were able to take away."




Wow, that's a lot. But why was he chasing them away? I thought it was against the laws of the pack for any Alpha to chase his concubines, as it was said that concubines beautify the palace.




'Are you serious? But you know it's against the pack's laws. How will you do with the council?"




'I am the Alpha, and I am the law, Octavia. I don't want the concubines anymore and that's final. The council can throw tantrums for all I care."




'Okay. I will try and convince alot of them, though it will take some time," she said.




'Do all you can, but be quick about it. I don't want Vanessa to be annoyed when I find her. You can leave now. I want to be alone," he said.




'Yes, your highness, thank you," she said happily. I stood straight immediately.




She came out of his office, very happy, smiling at me and I smiled back at her. She left almost skipping.







So Axel was ready to give up all his concubines just for me. I felt happy and safe at the same thing, happy that he was putting all his bad ways behind him because he wanted to be a better mate for me, and sad because I wouldn't be able to enjoy all these changes but someone else would. Though I was still very angry with him and I wish I could give him a piece of my mind by slapping him across his face to soothe myself of the pain he caused me.




I remembered Andrew and that the Alpha hadn't said anything about him. I knocked at his door and he groaned and that was my cue to come in.




'Your highness, you have forgotten about Andrew's break into the Royal library."




'Yeah, don't worry, I will get to the scene of his crime."




' If I may ask, how?"




'That's not what should be bothering you. I have everything under control." I nodded, walking back to my post, looking at the lonely hallway, and Emily came out of her room, walking away.




Soon night fell, and I was replaced by another guard. I went back to my room very exhausted after standing for hours non-stop. I went to the bathroom. After pulling off my clothes, I noticed my breasts were becoming more obvious and I facepalm myself. The effects were diminishing fast and I haven't found the scroll. I need to be fast and leave here as soon.




I came out of the bathroom fully refreshed and sat down on my bed. I was feeling hungry but more sleepy. While trying to stand up from my bed, I heard some whispering. And my instincts told me to hide under my bed, which I did immediately, and two men came inside the room looking around with masks on their faces.




'I thought you said he was here," one of them said, and I tried looking at their faces, but moving an inch forward would implicate me.




'Yes, he is done with his shift and he should be here by now, except if he is outside and will be coming back later," the second man said, looking intently.




'And we need to get rid of him as per Andrew's orders. But I don't think he had told the Alpha anything, else we would have known."




'We need to go to the Royal library and find that scroll. We can come back for that man's life," they said, and went out of the room. I breathed out in relief. I needed to go and warn the Alpha. I waited for a few minutes before coming out of hiding. Running to his office because I knew he would still be there, the bodyguards on duty were looking at me strangely and I frowned.




'I want to see the Alpha," I said and they nodded, opening the door. I walked in and he looked at me.




'Your highness, some men came to the servant's quarters, and they wanted to kill me, but I hid under the bed. They are in the Royal library now," I said, trying to catch my breath. Axel closed his eyes and I looked at him puzzled.




'Your highness?" I called out. He didn't respond, then I knew he was mind linking his pack's soliders.




'Don't worry, everything is under control." He assured me and I went back to the servant's quarters, sitting with my inmates when they were discussing, and I sat down beside them, though I didn't join in their conversation.




Azra came and I followed him to the room.




'You promised to tell me where you went to last night," I said, and he laughed.




'You don't give up, do you?" He replied, looking at me before he continued laughing.




'I was with Amara. We are mates. And she told me she was pregnant with my pups that night, that was why I was very excited."




'Wow, congratulations man. You will be a father soon. I have to be the godfather of your pups," I said, and he laughed.




'Sure, thank you." I was genuinely happy for him.
