Noah and Carissa were working in the office as usual. There was a knock at the door but none spoke as they were busy.

Aaron entered with a pile of documents. "Sir, they need your approval urgently. Please sign them". Noah signaled him to leave them on the table.


"Sir there is another thing". Aaron hesitated.

Noah looked at him coldly as Aaron kept on disturbing him. He could not concentrate, "Speak". There was a hint of anger in his voice. He is like a time bomb that can go off at any moment.

"Mr. Chairman wants to meet you. He called you but you did not receive his call". His father called him early in the morning but Noah was in the meeting so he ignored it.


"Okay. I will meet him. You can go". Actually, he knows the reason behind this sudden call.

When Aaron left he looked at Carissa. She was looking troubled, totally unaware of her surroundings and continuously chewing on the pen.


Noah walked towards her silently. After reaching closer to her and blew the breath from his mouth on her ear. Carissa was startled. His hot breath ignited the fire in her ear. They became tomato red. The pen was still in her mouth. He held it and threw it off on the side. "Stop torturing it". Suddenly, his dark eyes glistened, "I can lend you my lips instead".

Carissa punched on his shoulder, "Who wants them?"

Her reaction is always satisfactory. It makes him want to tease her more. But these innocent reactions always stir trouble for his fragile heart.

He ignores her tantrum, "What are you doing?" His voice was very sexy.

"Nothing." She replied.

"You were too engrossed so I came to look at you". He supported his back on the table with his hands in pockets. He was gazing at her.

Even if he normally looks at the person his gaze is too strong for the people to cope up. While his posture was way too outstanding. His perfectly built figure was revealing his hotness. His face was relaxed making him look more adorable. "Is something wrong?" he asked as Carissa was looking vexed.

"I just can't understand them." She pointed at the documents.

Noah picked up a file to look at. It was related to an investment project. "It is not difficult. The rules to make to make a successful investment are simple. First you should know what are the trends in the market. See what companies want to collaborate with you and if they have the potential to make a profit for you. Another important thing that is often neglected by many, they invest in the same thing. Like if I compare your father and myself, your father is all about real estates. While I invest in technology, infrastructure, automobiles and different industries too, according to the trend. So of course I make more than him".

This is why he is so busy. He has to deal with many things.

"Actually, it is not difficult. All you need is money and a good company to invest in". He wanted to laugh because even a kid knows what investment it. She has a business background. It was a little bit shocking for him. But he did not laugh at her. Because no question is good or bad. He was patiently solving her queries.

"Isn't your work more hectic?" She asked.

He nodded, "Obviously. I have to manage a lot of things at the same time."

"Why do you work so hard?" She was curious.

He cannot tell her the real reason. "To make money. So I can support my wife in the future". He winked at her.

Her heart skipped a beat. Can he stop doing such things so suddenly and what is meant by 'WIFE'? She kept on looking at him with admiration.

"I know I am handsome now stop drooling".

The warmth from her face disappeared before she could retaliate. He spoke, "I came to tell you I am going to meet my father. Let's have lunch together after I will come back".

"Okay".

In the chairman's office:

"Come in". A cold and stern voice came from inside.

He opened the door as he entered the office gracefully. "You called?" Noah asked as he sat on the sofa.

Mr. Adam asked with disdain, "What's with Mia? What was she doing at the party?" He cut to the chase.

Noah's eyes changed as he clenched his fists. "I don't know. I saw her for the first time in 10 years at the party".

"Are you sure?"

"Why would I lie about such a thing?" He gazed in his father's eyes.

"You are already aware of the fact that how much your mom is insecure about her. She hates her. So, you better keep yourself in control otherwise this time I will not help you".

"Dad I am not a 20 years old kid anymore. I can handle my life. So, you and Mom… please stop this".

"Okay I will stop it." He paused, "Bring Carissa home this weekend. Your mother wants to meet her".

He knew why his mother wanted to meet her.

"I will ask her". He did not wait for any other second and stood up to leave.

He sent a message to Carissa, "Come downstairs".

Carissa wore her coat and picked up her things. When she walked out of the company he was standing with his hands in his pockets.

He opened the door for her and drove to the restaurant.

It was a five star restaurant with a very beautiful view. When the staff saw him coming they stood up straight to welcome him. The manager personally came to escort him to the table with the best view. It did not have private rooms but the food was very delicious so he brought her here.

As soon as they entered the girls started to tear him apart with their eyes. People mostly don't know who he is as he does not show himself in the public. All such things are handled by Aaron. But with his profile and aura even a blind can tell he is not an ordinary man.

Girls were looking at Carissa with envious looks. She felt uncomfortable with all the attention. "You do not have to bring me..... to such a luxurious place". She complained.

"It is not luxurious. It's normal". Yeah for him it is very normal.

She sighed. The manager took their order personally. As Carissa was not familiar, Noah ordered a lot of dishes. Before the food could arrive, someone else came.

"Hi".

Noah suddenly looked very angry.

"Can I have lunch with you?" she asked.

"No". He gritted his teeth. How can he let others ruin their date? Especially her.

Mia looked at him in disbelief. He is the man who was ready to die for her in the past but now he is ready to kill her.

Mia pouted at his response, "You have changed Noah".

Carissa first looked at Mia then at Noah. What the hell was going on between them? She was curious. But last time Noah stopped her from asking so she swallowed her curiosity.

Mia settled on the chair despite the fact that he does not want to eat with her. She is really shameless.

Mia signaled the waiter. The waiter came with the menu card. Mia glanced on it. "Noah you love lobsters. I am ordering them for you. How about seafood pasta….."

She ordered several dishes saying they are his favorite. They let her do whatever she was doing. Carissa was now hating her and at this moment she was hating Noah too. Carissa ignored both of them and was looking outside. Her ear went red due to anger. She clenched her fists.

Mia moved towards Noah and placed her hand on his. She was so close to him that due to breathing her chest was continually touching his body. Mia touched his neck, "You have gotten a little tanned from the past but you are looking more handsome and manly. I like this new look of yours".

Noah glared at her. His eyes were getting red. Before he could say anything Carissa stood up, "You should spend some time with your friend. I will eat at cafeteria".

She had already lost her appetite looking at their intimacy.

Noah hurriedly held her wrist while Mia gave her a victorious smile. This woman was really getting on her nerves.

"You promised to eat with me".

"We will eat later". She retorted back.

Noah applied some force on her wrist. She fell on the chair. "Be good. Okay?"

He was having enough of Mia if she will leave now things will become more complicated.

At this moment the food arrived. Carissa glared at him. He always forces his ways on her.

Carissa randomly picked a dish and started eating without waiting for them. She wanted to eat quickly and get out of here.

Noah picked up the plate in front of her. "Don't eat this".
