In the morning, the sunrays entered in the room through glass window, making Noah wake up. He slowly opened his eyes. Noah saw her sleeping peacefully in the same posture as they slept last night. His left shoulder was sore and painful. He glanced at her whose head was still on his shoulder. He could not get up due to her weight and again fall on the pillow.

But he did not mind the pain at all. How beautiful it would be if he wakes up daily with her in his embrace? Nothing can be more rewarding than this. He kissed her forehead lightly.


Noah carefully placed her head on the pillow and went to take a shower. He was feeling much better now and the warm water relaxed his muscles more.

When he was done showering, he came outside in his shorts only which were reaching till his knees. The water was dripping from his skin. He looked more sexy and hot. All the hagardness from the sickness vanished instantly. She is the best medicine for him. In the past, when he used to get sick it would take him at least a week to get recovered. Even if he will recover, he would be weak. But now Noah looked refreshed and better now.

Meanwhile, Carissa was rubbing her eyes to get rid of the signs of sleepiness while sitting on the bed. Her eyes fell on his perfect figure, who was looking at her with itter amusement, she blushed. 'What a sight to see early is the morning'. She lowered her eyes in embarrassment. But in the next second she scolded herself for having such a perverted thoughts. It was a strange discovery for her too. Humans are like the peel of onion, they have infinite layers and till the day of their death they process in knowing their selves continues. Some discoveries are pleasing while some makes you disappointed. Noah on the top is always quick to read her thoughts.


He saw her sitting in daze.... she was totally spaced out. A mischievous smile crept on his handsome face. Her eyes were not focusing on anything. He stepped closer towards her. His abs were perfectly in front of her eyes, "Aren't you going to take a shower?" he spoke at such a close proximity.

Carissa jumped out of the bed. She can smell the fragrance of his body wash which he has used just now. Even her ear were burning. "Oh yeah right…." She came back to reality and rushed towards the bathroom. She was about to take off her clothes but remembered there is nothing to change into, "But what I will wear?" she shouted from inside.


Noah always paid attention to the details. As a perfectionist, this is nothing for him, "Come out". He spoke from the room and walked to the walk in closet. Carissa had already taken off her clothes. She cannot go outside without anything so she slipped in to her clothes back and with careful steps she came out. He took her to the dressing room. Beside his clothes, the clothes in her size of all types were neatly organized. There were party wears, comfortable Jeans and shirts and even night wears. Due to the sickness he forgot to tell her to change into a nighty, now when she asked he remembered the preparation he had done. Carissa was stunned to see this sight. "What is this?" she asked without hiding the amazement. 'He cares for me, no doubt'. She thought and was sure now.

"Why? Are you touched?" he asked examining her reaction while a smile played on his lips.

Her was arosing the feelings in her which she had never felt before. Everything was new to her. Even herself was foreign to her.

Carissa looked at him lovingly. "Why do you like me?" She wanted to know the reason. There is nothing in the world that is free. She was curious to know because in this short period of time, she can see the love in his eyes and you know eyes don't lie. They are the window of soul and his actions were enough to make her feel more loved.

"I don't know the reason….." he held her hand and placed it on his bare chest. She can feel his wildly beating heart, "and there is no reason to love a person. Maybe I love you because only you can make it beat like this". Noah was surprised like Carissa too. He ised to think that he will never be able to love anyone and maybe he will die as a bachelor. But now he is head over heels for a woman he met a month ago. No, he met a an year ago and from that day till now she is the only one engulfing her thoughts. At first, he used to think, maybe he thinks of her because he is angry at her but no it was something else.

Her eyes were filled with tears. Carissa was trying her best to stop them from falling. This is the first time in her life that she is being loved. At the moment, when she gave up being loved by anyone, he appeared from nowhere to save her from falling in the pith of darkness.

"Why are you crying?" he hugged her to comfort her emotions and stayed in the same position for quite a time. Noah did not say anything to comfort her. But for her even his presence had a huge impact.

When she calmed down he finally pulled her apart. Noah wiped her tears with the thumb and kissed her puffy eyelid. "It is very easy to please you". He was teasing her for crying over a few pair of dresses.

The touching emotions she was feeling vanished, "Yeah. Are you happy now?" she was being sarcastic and rolled her eyes at him.

He laughed. She always looks so cute being angry which reminds him of red in angry bird who will explode at any moment, "of course I am happy" and this is what he loves the most.

She punched his shoulder and Noah winced in pain. Carissa thought he is faking the reaction by exaggerating it, "I am not going to fall for it". She stood firm.

Noah turned a little to show his shoulder. He felt agitated for leaning her his shoulder then getting pinched and now getting investigated too. He had a large bruises. "Oh my.... hey what happened here?" She became anxious.

"Nothing". He cannot tell her the exact reason.

Carissa suddenly remebered how she had slept comfortably on shoulder for the whole night.

"I am sorry". She said in a guilt lowering her eyes.

"If you are sorry then give me a massage". He presented a solution instantly, taking the advantage of guilt she is feeling.

"Yeah, I can do it. Is there any ointment?" Carissa hurriedly started to look for the medicine. She is really abusing his body. If someone will get to know about this, she will surely get killed.

"In the cabinet, on your left". He pointed towards the drawer.

Carissa opened it and found the first aid kit. She picked out an ointment and went to the room.

Noah was sitting on the bedroom bench. She sat on the corner of bed and gently applied the ointment on his shoulder. Her hands does not have any strength but for him it was very satisfying and most of all he was loving her gentle touch on his bare body.

Suddenly, Noah turned back and with his palm he held the back of her head and captured her lips. He kissed her passionately. Sometimes he would bite her then crease the part of her mouth he has tortured.

Carissa has now also started to love kissing him. She does not feel disgusted by the intimacy with him.

He broke the kiss but licked her lips in the end. The warmth of his tounge made her lose all the control. The soft touch of the soft flesh send a sensation to every single pore in her body.

"I am going for shower". She ran towards washroom but heard him laughing. He seriously loves to see her reaction after an intimacy.

She again forgot to bring the clothes. Carissa clenched her fist rushed to the dress room and randomly grab a pair of dress. Noah was looking at him with utter amusement. She was making his day. He smiled to himself.

Carissa stood in the washroom for god knows for how long.

She took a shower and went for breakfast.

Noah was waiting for her at dining table. She came wearing a simple jeans and top. A thought popped up in his mind, 'How she will look in my shirt?' He wanted to see her like this.

Noah remembered something, "You promised my Mom something".

Carissa made a commitment with Esme at a year ending party that she will go to meet her at white residence.

"Yeah". Carissa was also remembered

"She wants to meet you tomorrow". Noah suddenly replied.

"Really. Then we should go".

At that time the husky came running towards them. She hugged him, "Oh I missed you so much".
