Celeste reached to the given address and saw him sleeping with his head resting on the table. Celeste sighed, and went towards him, the man who called her, handed his belongings to her. But how and where was she going to take him?
Celeste was worried.
"Hey". Celeste tapped his shoulder but he remained in the same position.
"Hey". This time Celeste slapped his back hard. Edwin winced in pain, his brows knitted together and forced to open his eyes. His vision was blurry. "Who are you?"
Celeste wanted to beat him until he turned into pulp, "Do you want to die? Why did you call me here?" Celeste shouted at him.
Her shouting gained a lot of attention from people.
Edwin faintly smiled, "I was… right. You… came".
"Get up I will call a taxi for you. Go home and sleep there".
He became sad, "Why are…. You chasing… me…away?"
"Let me make something clear Mr. Edwin. I have every right to chase you away. Just because of humanity I am sending you home otherwise I can let you freeze on the street".
"You are still…. Stone hearted". He spoke in disappointment. Celeste felt bad, years ago when they met for the first time, Celeste was working as a part timer in the café. Edwin came there. He was always a playboy and flirt. Celeste is very pretty, but sometimes beauty can be a hindrance too. Carissa is beautiful but she is rich and has people to protect her. But still her beauty lead to rape and made her traumatized for 8 years. Meanwhile Celeste is a very tough girl. She knows there is no one to protect her and she is her own shield. So Celeste learnt self-defense and from her childhood she was very athletic. She is more like a wonder woman. All the emotions, she left them behind for survival in this cruel society. If someone tries to harass her, she doesn't go easy on them.
The same thing happened after many years, when Edwin came he acted rude towards her, "Hey pretty. Want to have some fun with me?" Edwin winked at her.
Celeste ignored him, as she is used to encountering such situations. Edwin is rich and handsome so no girl rejects him but her ignorance was hurting his ego, he grabbed her wrist to make her face him, "Who the hell are you? Only being pretty does not make you arrogant".
Celeste tried to free her hand from his grip but he pulled her towards himself closing the distance between two bodies. Celeste eyes turned dark, her words were stuck in the throat, why didn't she say anything? It was making her frustrated. Celeste raised hand and slapped him hard. "If only pretty does not allow me to be arrogant then only being rich also does not allow you to be arrogant too. Go to hell you and your money". She said with a lot of difficulty.
This was his first time to be treated like this. Edwin grabbed her collar, "We will see who is the Boss here". Edwin pushed her and as a result she fell.
Now, after 6 years at this moment Edwin grabbed her collar again and closed the distance. She can feel his alcoholic and warm breath on her face, "Why are you stuck in my head? Hmm?" Edwin creased her cheek, "For the past 6 years, I can think of only you. In here…" Edwin pointed at his temple, "in here there is only you".
Celeste held his muscular hand to free her collar, "You are drunk. Get up". She ignored his drunk confession but her heart was beating rapidly.
She held his hand to help him in getting up. He was too heavy. Celeste stumbles under his weight, "Hey, walk on your own. I cannot support you".
Edwin tried to walk on his own but he lost balance, Celeste was helping him in result she fell on the top him.
Celeste was flustered and tried to get up but he held her waist tightly not letting her get away. She punched his abdomen, "Go to hell". Celeste shouted and Edwin once again winced in pain.
Celeste got up and kicked his body, "Sleep here". She left him there and started to walk away. Her hands were trembling, her face was blushing.
"Celeste", he shouted from behind making her stop in her steps. He was laying on the cold floor, he was really going to freeze to death. She sighed and helped him in getting up again. With a lot of difficulty Celeste hailed a cab and unlocked his phone with his finger tip and called the number saved as home, a man whose voice was similar to Edwin received the call, "Who's there?"
"Is this Edwin's house?" She asked.
"Yes". The man replied.
"Actually Edwin is drunk here. I have hailed a cab for him but I don't know your address".
The man on the other side took a deep breath like he was fed up with the situation.
Then, he told her the address.
Her breath was heavy but she finally succeeded in sending him home.
Where she landed herself, she was unaware.
