When he heard a huge splash, he froze on the spot. All of his senses were paralyzed. But it was not a time to behave like this. How was he going to look for her in this dark and huge river and on the top of everything in this cold weather? He cannot jump too. Seriously this girl was not his piece of cake. He regretted challenging her limits.

Harrison immediately called the police and rescue teams for help. They were on their way. But what was he going to do about Noah? He was surely going to kill him, but her life and safety was the most important thing at this moment. About the consequences he will deal with them later. Actually, Harrison was like a rival of Noah. Harrison made a call. On the other end Noah was in a meeting. When his phone vibrated he frowned and ignored the call. Harrison knew he must be busy so he sent a text.

"Pick up the call. It's about Carissa and is very urgent".

When Noah read his message he could not ignore this at all. If the matter involves her, of course there is nothing more urgent. He immediately called Harrison and he attended his call on the first bell. "Speak". His ice-cold voice rang on the receiving end. Harrison trembled. He could not find words to tell him and remained quiet.


"Are you going to say something or not? I am busy here". Noah shouted, making other people freeze in the room.

Harrison gathered his courage to tell him about the matter, "Actually, I was talking with Carissa at the riverside bridge and she…" he stopped at the moment, making Noah more anxious.


"Is this some kind of movie? Listen Harrison it is my last warning what happened?… she did what?"

Harrison took a deep breath and closed his eyes, gathering his courage, "She jumped from the bridge into the river". He said in a single breath.

Meanwhile, Noah could not believe what he just heard. Whether it was a dream or reality, he was having a hard time to figure out this situation. But his instincts were altering him continually, considering her adventurous spirit she can do this.

Aaron ran behind him, "Boss is something wrong? You should tell me I will handle it".

Noah looked at the sweaty Aaron, "Handle the meeting I am going back right now".

Noah drove without caring for anything. He went straight to the riverside. Noah covered the 1:25 minutes distance in 45 minutes. He was praying for only one thing, her safety. About what happened he will deal with it later. His eyes were teary and red because she is the only one who is by his side. If something happened to her, his life would be over too. At that moment he realized how important, special and valuable she is. His wealth, property or any luxury was losing its worth if he was comparing them with her.

The fear of losing her was terrifying him. 'She is the type of a girl you never realized coming, after 3 months I am saying she is my world'. He found this thought ridiculous too. Without his knowledge and awareness she became so important and precious. Like his life is depending on only one thing.

When he reached the riverside they still could not find her. Even though she is a great swimmer, swimming for hours in this cold weather, were lowering the chances of her survival.

Noah went towards the anxious Harrison. His dark eyes were red and colder. There was nothing cold in comparison. If he will kill someone at this moment it won't be a surprise.

Noah did not ask for any explanations or justifications simply a punch landed on the handsome face of Harrison. He stumbled due to the force but did not say anything. He deserved it at one point.

"What did you say to her?" Noah held his collar and growled. Harrison appeared to be guilty. "If something happened to her, be prepared. You know I will not let this matter go".

Harrison was frustrated with this whole situation right now. If he knew she would do such a thing even on a gun point he would have never confessed. But just why did he challenge her limits? He was regretting it now. "It never crossed my mind that she would do such a thing."

"Damn it". Noah cursed. He could not blame him either. Her carefree nature.... was making them stay on their toes.

At that moment they saw people dragging out her lifeless body out of the river. Because with the power of Noah and Harrison things sped up and with more resources they could find her immediately and because she swam too and was almost at the edge of the river, it became easier. But still it took them almost an hour to find her. Both of them ran towards her. Her face was white like a sheet of paper, and lips were bluish purple.

He wanted to kill everyone right now. His senses were not working anymore. This love was making him kneel down. His high and mighty profile crumbled at that moment.
