Noah was walking anxiously outside the VIP room of the hospital. Meanwhile Harrison was dazed. Noah turned towards him, "Tell me now, what happened?"

Harrison sighed, actually Noah is already aware of his feelings towards Carissa that's why he mostly sent him overseas to keep him away from her. It was not that he was insecure but he just did not like the fact, and could not imagine her being with another man. Today he left for a day and such a big incident happened. She could even die too.


Harrison looked in his eyes, "I confessed to her and she asked me whether I can handle her personality, and of course I said yes. Carissa wanted to have a test and in the next second she jumped off the bridge." He looked helpless while Noah clenched his teeth, "I really could not guess what was going in her mind."

To be honest it was not his fault. Confessing to someone you like is not a bad thing and everyone has the right to express their love. Now, Noah could not say anything to him. He was totally innocent in this whole matter. She is really the crazy one. At first he knew about these shi*** adventures of her but being with him she was changing and he let his guard off. He must have spoiled her so much that the consequences were becoming unbearable.

Zain opened the door and looked up at his anxious and worried brother. He wanted to laugh at him right now, but he suppressed his urge. "She is out of danger, but…." Noah had a sigh of relief but this damn but.. "Her pulse is very low. So we had to put her on a ventilator. We have to observe her progress now".


Noah was really speechless. It was necessary to teach her a lesson this time. Harrison spoke, "You should go and check upon her. I will come back another time." Harrison was unsure of his feelings. He liked her but for her safety it was better to keep his distance. If he truly loves her then he should be happy in her happiness. From the start, he knew she does not feel anything for him but he still wanted to try so later he won't say any regrets. But he was paying a heavy price.

Noah went inside and saw her body being attached to several tubes. His heart ached at the sight. He was not going to let her alone in the future again. Even if it means tying her.


She looked uncomfortable. Her brows were knitted and there were clear lines between her brows. He wanted to punish her right now but he controlled his anger and clenched his fists so tight that his knuckles turned white. He creased the space between her brows and she instantly became relaxed at his touch.

He sat beside her bed and held her hand in his palm and they were ice cold. He frowned. Things were really getting out of control.

It was already dawn and he was sitting still by her side. The night went by and the same happened in the morning. There was nothing wrong with her but she was not waking up too.

"Come with me". Zain said to him.

"I am fine here". His eyes were not leaving her body at all.

"Do you want to die too?" Zain spoke with the gritted teeth at his younger stubborn brother. "Okay, do whatever you want to do…" Zain pointed his index finger at his brother, "but what you are doing is wrong."

His brother was broken, he is his savior despite their disputes in the past he still helped him. But he was helpless, his brother was really not the same anymore. What was he thinking, what was he doing he could not tell.

At night finally, after 24 hours she opened her eyes. The first thing she saw was his dark black holes. She was scared to see his face. She cursed in her mind, and avoided his gaze.

He ran his fingers in his hair. She was fine and it was his top priority, now it was done, next thing he thought about it and his face changed.

Carissa thought, 'Jumping in the middle of night in the river is a piece of cake in front of this cold blooded Panther.'

"I am sorry". This is all she could say.

He looked at her with no emotions at all. "Don't talk to me right now". He announced his unwillingness.

"Don't be like this. I was…."

"I am telling you Carissa your way of handling things is really…" he paused, "I don't have words to explain. You should have told me, it was not a big issue that you jumped without caring about your life and made it such a huge deal. You are really selfish… I am sure you did not think about me at all. Carissa felt guilty. She really did not think about him. At that moment she acted on her impulse. It was really not a big deal. "I am sorry….."

If a person is dying and sees his cruel face instead of trusting the doctor the patient will pass away immediately.

But how was she going to call him, brother in law? At that word she blushed but she is not engaged in front of people with him and nor married.

Maybe calling him Dr. Zain was a better choice. Zain gave her IV and removed many tubes attached to her body.

"Dr. Zain...." She called him and hesitated for a minute, Zain narrowed his eyes at her.

"Why? Is there anything uncomfortable?" he asked her a professional question.

"No... no. Everything is fine. I wanted to ask something else". She paused. "Actually Noah is angry. What should I do?"
