He was sitting in the living room of her apartment, "Come with me". He spoke suddenly .

"Yeah I am coming with you". She blurted out while making a coffee, she was concentrating on her work rather than him.


"Really?" he raised an eyebrow. "To my house"? He made it clear.

Her hands halted in the air, she opened her grey eyes widely. "No… no this isn't what I mean. I thought you were talking about dropping me to the office tomorrow".

"But you promised to be with me. Are you going back on your words?" He caught her red handed.


"Noah…" She was trying to make him understand her point of view.

Suddenly the doorbell rang, Carissa was going to open the door but he stopped her, "Let me". He opened the door and a familiar figure of Aaron appeared and reported, "Sir everything is ready". Noah nodded at him, "Okay you can go now".


He turned towards Carissa, "I couldn't tell you before…" he hesitated. "What is it?" She asked, looking at his nervous face.

"Let's get married." He spoke looking in her eyes, while Carissa was stunned. She was unable to say anything. "I know it is sudden and if you are not ready then we can delay it.. but we have already discussed it and you don't want to tell anyone about our marriage yet then what's the use of delaying it?" He justified his decision and the main reason was... he was afraid of leaving her alone. If it was possible he wanted to tie her down as soon as possible.

"Noah I don't want to tell my family.. what about yours?" She was worried about them.

"We will let them know".

Carissa sighed whether it was a good decision or not she cannot interpret it now.

"We can have a simple wedding with my family." He again told her.

But the thought of walking down from the aisle alone was hurting her. It is the dream of every girl to get married in front of people, in front of her family, in front of their loved ones… what happened to her in the past has nothing to do with her father and she doesn't blame him. If he had an affair in the past she knows all of this drama was played by her step mother. She loves her father and wants to get married in his presence.

She thought for a while and after thinking hard about the depth of the matter she spoke, "Noah… why don't we only get our wedding certificates.....about the ceremony we can have it later. I want to get married in front of my father". She looked very serious for the first time.

Noah can understand what she is feeling now, if she is with him, this is all that matters. These wedding ceremonies are just formalities to show the world. "Okay we can do this". He agreed with her. "So what about getting married in the morning?"

"Are you sure this is okay?" She looked worried as it was very sudden.

Noah went near her in the kitchen and hugged her, he placed his head in the crook of her neck inhaling her rosy scent, "Why? don't you trust me?" his voice was deep and like a whisper.

She tightly hugged his muscular waist and placed her head on his chest, "You are the only one I trust. I am ready for the marriage". She brushed away every negative thought.

She felt his lips curling up into a smile on her shoulder. They stayed like this for some time, listening to the exciting and racing heartbeats of each other, inhaling the familiar and comforting scents of cologne.

"Life will not be cruel towards me anymore, right?" She gave the words to her thoughts.

He was still holding her waist and moved his head downward to give a peck on her pink lips. "I promise you." he was sincere. She finally smiled and he was happy to see her smiling face too. "So you are going to be mine". For the first time she saw him so happy, "Are you happy?" She asked.

"Isn't it obvious?"

"It is. But I want to hear it". She smiled while he laughed, "I will let you hear it, and maybe more but not now". He again winked at her. Carissa cupped her blushing face with her hands. "You are getting cheesy". She complained.

Noah held her from the waist and placed her in the counter of the kitchen, making her on his level, "It not being cheesy, my dear". Noah creased the tip of her nose, "This is what I feel." He held the back of her neck and kissed her lips. She tightly held the hem of his shirt and kissed him back. With the time she was getting better at the kiss.

He kissed her passionately and deeply, her breath was getting hitched, he did not want to kill her with his kiss so he broke the kiss. Carissa wrapped her hands around his neck. "Aren't you going back?"

"Hmm.. no I am not going back. I want to sleep here with you". He spoke with a poker face meanwhile she looked at him speechlessly. "You are getting shameless".

Noah laughed so hard at her, "We will see what is the meaning of total shamelessness is".

She punched his chest with her fist. He carried her in the bridal style to her room and made her lay on the bed, "Let's just sleep". He also settled with her on the bed beside her and hugged her body and kissed her head. Both of them were enjoying the last bachelor night. She slept within minutes.

In the morning, Noah made breakfast and woke her up. He kissed her forehead and whispered in her ear, "Wake up beautiful".

She whimpered in the sleep and stretched out but again slept. Noah tapped her forehead, "Hey wake up. We are getting late".

Then she realized it is their wedding day. Carissa immediately woke up and ran to the washroom to fresh up. He smiled at her childish behavior. Noah was waiting for her on the dining table dressed up in the perfectly tailored royal blue suit. She came wearing a red colored dress reaching below her knees. The dress was showing her perfect curves but it was not revealing her any skin. This is what he loves the most about her. She never exposed her body.

They ate breakfast quietly and went to the civil bureau office with all the necessary documents and within an hour they got their certificates. He looked at the girl beside him and smiled handsomely, "Congratulations Mrs. Noah Whites".

Being addressed as his wife created a tingling sensation in her stomach. She felt shy, "Congratulations to you too".

"You?" He asked with a raised eyebrow, "You should call me something else now".

Carissa took a deep breath, what she feared the most had started, his high profile demands.
