"My wife". Every single person let out a gasp at the tone. It was filled with love while his eyes contained the sense of possessiveness, responsibility, pride, affection and much more.

Her lips automatically curled upward.

"Mr. Noah Whites, which family does she belong to?"

"When did you get married?"

"There were rumours about you in a relationship. So, were they true?"

"Was the marriage held privately?"

"How long have you been dating her?"

They were suddenly bombarded with numerous questions.

Noah swept his eyes around the hall and people instantly sealed their mouth just with a death glare.

"Let me, Noah". Carissa whispered. Because he had already lost the temperament. What will happen next, she can imagine it.

"I am the heiress of Zak real estates." The confidence she was radiating was really something else and the words that, 'Heiress of Zak real estate' was enough to tell them that she is capable of his status. Mr. Zak is the king in this side of business.

"It's been almost a year since we registered our marriage. Noah was busy with the business and so do I, so I decided to not go public and Noah respected my decision. I am grateful to him. I am sure most of you are shocked, I apologize for the sudden news."

He frowned, is there really a need to apologize?

"I hope you will put good words to us. We are starting a new chapter of life".

Her politeness had already gained a strong fanbase.

She had clearly answered all of the questions while keeping a composure but there was still an unanswered question left and everybody was curious to know about it.

"Who pursued first? " A female reporter showed interest in that matter more.

Carissa glanced at Noah. Maybe it will not be a good choice to tell them that he pursued first. That will put an impact on his image.

"I..." she was about to tell them her name but he cut her off.

"It was me. It took me a great time and effort to claim her". His eyes dripping with love.

The audience cheered for them by applauding.

Everything went well. People supported them.

Carissa felt all of her energy draining. "That's a relief." She said to him while reading the comments. Noah suddenly snatched away the phone from her grip. "Give it a rest. The opinions of others do not concern me. Only you do".

She smiled.

"Shall we go for lunch?" He offered.

"Yes, I am so hungry. I couldn't eat in the morning because I was damn nervous".

The driver made a U-turn and took them to the restaurant.

Meanwhile, Edwin and Celeste were enjoying the silent company of each other in the park. He passed her the cup of coffee. The embarrassment was gripping her once again. But what was more disappointing was that he was not making any commitments. He was not making any promises.

She brushed off the negative thoughts and focused on the scenery. He was just there to look after her while his heart was telling him to embrace her but he wasn't sure if it was a good choice.

Next day,

A water themed wedding was going to take place. The stage where the bride and groom were going to take vows, had an artificial waterfall behind giving it a very aesthetic and very exquisite vibe, it was looking very extravagant. Of course, it was a wedding of the century.

In the bridal room, Carissa was ready, wearing a long off shoulder dress, which was embroidered with diamonds, they will shine whenever light will fall on them reflecting it. Her makeover was so light, which was making her look more pure and innocent. Her grey were beaming with happiness, which she had never felt before. Esme came and saw her second daughter in law,  and became speechless by her enchanting beauty. Being a woman she is so engrossed by her, what her son is going to feel was obvious. "Oh my goodness,  you are looking so beautiful". She praised her beauty by hugging her.

Carissa smiled from ear to ear, "Thank you Mom".

Hani was there at the moment, "Seriously Carissa, I have never seen a beautiful bride as you".

"Stop praising me so much." She complained about acting fake, because she was loving this attention and compliments. But in her heart, she wanted to hear these things from only one person.

"You are ready then let's start the ceremony". Esme suggested in which Hani nodded and Carissa felt very nervous.

"Don't be so nervous". Hani said to Carissa in a teasing tone.

After a while Noah was standing on the stage, dressed up in a black tuxedo, his hair were perfectly combed back, revealing his forehead and making him more hot and handsome. Beside him Edwin was standing wearing a luxurious suit, he whispered to Noah, "There is still time, take my advice and run away". He knew Noah cannot do anything to him in front of so many people.

But in result he received a glare from him, saying, 'will you keep your mouth shut. Edwin did a zipping gesture.

The door of the hall opened, and he saw her coming with her father holding his hand, looking more beautiful than ever, making her way towards him. The crowd was praising her, while his heart was beating so fast that he felt it will jump out of the chest at any moment. Carissa was feeling the same. Her hands were trembling due to anxiety. Her father patted her hand giving her strength. She saw him, only looking in her eyes, like she is the only one that exists in the world, and all the other things are just an illusion. Looking at his loving gaze, her lips curled up in a smile, and she bit the corner of her lip on nervousness, because his eyes were doing wonders to her body. Today, he was looking like a completely different person, gentler and happier.

He stepped forward and took and hand from her father, "Take a good care of her. I know I am not qualified to say this but please give me a favor". Mr. Zak said to Noah.

"Don't worry. I will". He replied with enthusiasm and confidence.

She smiled at him and he held her in standing beside him.

The officiant announced,  "We are here to announce the uniting of the bride and groom, They are taking the first step towards the new beginning and their new life together. Loving someone is a challenge and the bride and groom are announcing to the world that they are welcoming the challenge. They will be taking their vows in front of everyone, that are here to witness". The officiant looked at Noah, "Please state your vows".

Noah looked at her and held her hand, his eyes were engulfing her as a whole and hers were looking at him, "I, Noah Whites, take Carissa Zak as my lawfully wedded wife. I will be yours in times of plenty and in times of want, in times of sickness, in times of health, in times of joy and in times of sorrow, in time of failure and in times of triumph. I promise to cherish you, respect you and protect you, to comfort and encourage you, and stay with you for all eternity."

His eyes did not leave her even for a second. His every word, she believes that he is going to keep it. When others speak them as a formality, he is saying them with heart. The words were simple yet touching.

She was not saying her vows, her eyes were filled with tears, "Did you forget your vows?" he whispered. She pouted in response and finally started speaking, "I, Carissa Zak, take Noah Whites as my lawfully wedded husband, my partner in life and my only love. I will cherish you and love you more each day than I did before. I will trust you and respect you , laugh with you, cry with you, love you faithfully during the good and bad times, regardless of the obstacles we face together. I give you my hand, my heart and my love, from this day forward as long as we shall live."

A promise that they made for the rest of their lives. A promise to be together and to love each other as long as they are breathing.

Noah held her hand and pulled a beautiful diamond ring, which had their names carved on it, in her ring finger. Her hands were trembling and the ring was about to fall from her hand, but Noah held her and supported her body. With a lot of courage she made him wear a ring.

"You can kiss the bride". The officiant said and she blushed.
