Chapter 104 Married life.
In the morning, Carissa was so tired from the wedding preparations and wedding and the night was like a cherry on the top. It made her extremely tired. She had no energy to get up in the morning. Meanwhile, Noah was hyper active, radiating with energy. He put his head on the palm and turned in her direction. His index finger roaming on her face. Thumb creasing the eyebrows and he stopped at the tip of her high bridged nose. Noah leaned in closer and slightly brushed the lips on the tip where he was touching just a moment ago. Even in the sleep, she was stirred up by the small gesture. It was ticklish yet impactful. He smiled. She was even blushing in the sleep. This was turning him into a bad guy. He had the urge to do a lot of dirty stuff now.
Unconsciously, Carissa leaned in closer to him and when his familiar scent strike her nostrils she snuggled more in his muscular chest. He just took a shower so he smelled marvelous.
Like an addict, she hung on his body like her life is dependent on it.
Noah wrapped his hand around her stomach. "Tired? Hmm?" He asked in a very soft voice.
His voice was enough to send the butterflies in the stomach. "Yea".
He could sense her exhaustion. He was guilty about being rough with her. "But you have to wake up. It's almost noon". He patted her head and ran the fingers in her hair.
"Please 5 more minutes". Her more snuggling and sleepy voice melted him. Even though he wanted to drag her out of the bed he couldn't do it anymore.
The needles of the clock continued to tick as the time was passing by as usual.
Noah was well aware that her 5 minutes will not end before 2 hours. He used all the patience that was left and waited for her.
At the end, after two hours when he could not wait anymore he spoke, "Get up now. I will be waiting". Noah creased the part below her ear. As expected, she is most sensitive. It made her sit on the bed. She narrowed her sleepy eyes at him, "Good morning, hubby". Carissa knew he was waiting for her for a long time. She felt bad about it. And just a few words of affection are enough to cajole him.
Noah halted in his tracks, "It will not work on me. Okay".
She frowned internally. Like, why is he putting all the blame on her when he was the reason behind her too much sleep?
Carissa tried her best not to show the discomfort between the legs and ran towards him. She held his hand. "Please, hmm? Don't do this".
"What am I doing?" He played innocent.
"Geez. Okay, spill the beans. What do you want?" She read his mind as she knew he was up to something.
Noah placed his hand in front of the chest. "Grant me a wish".
Carissa nervously looked at him, "tell me".
"I will tell you later. I don't want to spend the whole day in the room." Noah held her waist and pushed her towards the bathroom.
She was left with no choice and took a shower while pouting and whenever her body would ache she would curse him internally.
She changed into a peach coloured dress and let the hair fall on the shoulders. He scanned her from head to toe and she always looked more beautiful than yesterday.
While he was checking her out, her stomach grumbled loudly. Carissa laughed awkwardly. "Let's go". He grabbed her hand and took her out of the hotel.
First, they went to the restaurant. She ate like a hungry lioness while he was getting full looking at her food.
"Slow down." He could not stop from saying as she ate the whole slice of pizza in a minute.
Carissa gave him an OK sign but she continued to eat at that pace. He literally gave up.
When they got out of the restaurant, it was already evening. "Now we have eaten, shall we go back home and take a husk on the walk?" In nanoseconds her eyes changed into puppy eyes.
Noah had no plans. He just wanted to spend time with her. The location, the circumstances does not matter.
"Okay, Your honor". He let out a sarcasm.
While Carissa chuckled. The drive to home was covered with their endless bickering. Carissa changed into jeans and a t-shirt. The dresses are not for her. She was uncomfortable with them. Carissa held the husk from the collar and went to the park near their place.
It was already getting dark and bringing husk was not a good idea. All of her attention was on him. She was about to follow the husk but he took the chain from her hand. "Let me". She could feel the jealousy radiating out of him.
Even the dog was afraid of him. He turned into a cute puppy as soon as he held him. "You..." he pointed at her, "stop running around uselessly".
Her lips formed a thin line.
Finally, the peace was brought again.
She looked upward, at the sky. The twinkling stars were beautiful. "It's so pretty". She commented.
"Pretty". A single word came out of his mouth but instead of the sky he was looking at her and of course that compliment was for her too.
She did not know that these words were pointed at her. When Carissa turned in his direction, he immediately turned the face away from her else it was going to be a little embarrassing. By the way, why the hell he has to peek at his own wife? Maybe they haven't gotten used to each other yet.
"When will you join the office again?" She asked.
"I don't know. I am planning to handle the things from home for the time being." He replied.
"Wouldn't it affect your work?" She was concerned.
"Carissa, don't be worried about such stuff. Trust me. I will make the best decision....for us". He paused, "and I haven't taken a day off in ages. It's a good chance to slack away a little". He winked.
"You are getting lazy, hubby".
He laughed with her.
After coming back home and eating dinner, Carissa was standing on the balcony when he came out of shower. He was also wearing a trouser and a white T-shirt. His damp dark black hair was falling on his forehead. He looked at her and went towards her from behind, Noah wrapped his arm around her slender waist she felt his familiar touch and relaxed. Noah kissed her neck and said with a steamy breath, "Hi beautiful".
She felt her heart fluttering, he calls her beautiful like it is her name. He was making her feel desired.
"Come inside, you will catch a cold". She nervously followed him inside the bedroom and sat at the corner of the bed.
Noah came forward, held her wrist and dragged her towards himself. He hugged her waist and laid down quietly.
He locked her fingers with her and observed the wedding ring in her finger. He can claim her in front of the world. Now, she is his and besides him no one has the right on her.
She was looking at the ceiling while she could hear his heartbeat, "What is marriage Noah?" The sudden question surprised him.
He thought for a while and she did not rush him too, because what answer he was going to give her, it can be a base of their marriage life. His deep voice echoed in the room, "People think marriage is a beautiful box but I do not agree with them, for me marriage is like an empty box. Whatever you will place in it, it will return you. People think marriage is Love but there is no love in marriage, love is in people and similarly, there is no romance, we have to infuse romance in it." He paused and looked at her, "You have to fill the box with care, love, giving, praising and of course…." He whispered, "Romance".
The way he described it made it easier for her to understand. "I will try to put more in the box". She looked at him with the utmost sincerity.
"Really?" he raised an eyebrow, "then you should put something right now".
Carissa looked at him in confusion. Now, she is his… there was no way he was going to hold back himself. There was a moment between a glance and a kiss. She felt the world stopping. He lowered his head to meet her lips and her soft skin was brushing against his, making him more intense. He kissed her with all his might. Carissa knew where this was going to lead them, but for him she wanted to cross all of her boundaries it was worth it.
He bit her lips and tongue but he made sure not to hurt her. His hands were tracing all of her body. He broke the kiss and looked in her eyes like he was asking for permission. She nodded her head in affirmation. Noah kissed her forehead and again captured her lips, this time he was passionate and intense. He kissed her neck, his favorite part of her body. He was sending shivers down her spine. She laid there breathing heavily her mind wandered to the kiss and the intensity she had seen in his eyes. She has to admit that it felt nice to be held by him in this way.
