Meanwhile someone, somewhere unknown up in the sky, unlocked his phone and opened a video of a baby laughing in the embrace of her mother. The face of the mother was not visible and no matter how many times or how he tried he could not get a glimpse of it.

It wouldn't have hurt her to let him see her face.

But what can he do? He deserved it and he also does not expect her to forgive him easily.

Edwin brushed away his insecurities and once again looked at the video. The baby girl had tears in her eyes, whether they were of happiness or missing someone only she knows.

His heart was clenched hard as it hit against the rib cage hard. The last 5 months passed like hell.

Every minute, every second, passed like eternities.

It was hardest for him if we think about it now.

Celeste had everyone but him meanwhile, Edwin had no one by his side.

Not a single person was there to cheer him up. He pushed all of them away and remained firm and determined and finally able to stand up again.

The doctors told him to be careful and it hurt to walk but his patience was already skyrocketing and he could not stop himself to stay here for a complete recovery.

He stroked the tiny baby with his thumb, trying to feel her smooth warm flesh which he always does and fails. "I am sorry for being late, baby. I am sorry for making you wait, Celeste". He murmured to himself and wiped away the tears at the corner of eyes and looked down on the clouds.

Meanwhile, after doing hell a lot of shopping Celeste glanced at the shopping bags. They were too much. She did not have time to go shopping in the past due to Erin and now when she was able to come out, she realized she is lacking a lot of stuff. Celeste stuffed some of those shopping bags in the baby's pram and held some in her left hand and with the right hand, she pushed the pram and made her way home. The sun was already settling and spring was there to welcome them.

Blooming flowers and their sweet fragrance surrounding the ambiance.....

Celeste really felt alive.

She smiled uncontrollably, when she heard the little laughter of the baby and asked,"Did you have a good time with mommy, baby?" Celeste asked her 5 months old daughter who cannot speak through words but her single gesture is enough to make her understand the meaning behind unspoken words.

Baby Erin kicked her little legs in the air showing her excitement. Celeste grinned at her cute gesture. "That means you really enjoy coming out with mommy. Let's come out often, okay?" This time Erin did not reply but Celeste took it as a yes.

"Let's go home and make some delicious dinner. And promise that you will not cry and let me eat in peace." She was nervous to ask.

It is the most difficult favour that she has asked. Since the day Erin is born, there is not a single meal that she had in peace other than eating when Erin was sleeping.

Maybe babies have some psychometric powers. They get up as soon as they know their mother is going to eat or sleep as a result before the parent could take a breath of relaxation..... a huge trouble is always waiting for them.

Celeste used to be such a foodie but now she just stuff herself to stay alive. Working and baby sitting has tired her out. But looking at Erin growing up each day makes her feel alive. All of her efforts pay off.

Celeste took an elevator and pressed the respective floor. Erin was a little scared of enclosed surfaces so she started to cry.

In order to calm her down, Celeste took her out of the pram and hugged her to comfort. "It's okay. I am here with you". Upon hearing the familiar voice she really calmed down but still did not completely stop crying.

Soon, when the elevator opened with a ding sound she once again started to walk. Celeste held Erin in arms and put all the bags in her pram. Being preoccupied with various things she did not notice her surroundings until she reached at her apartment's door and collided with a muscular body. The scent man was emitting was very familiar to her, which she longed to inhale for more than a year. It was her addiction.

Her heart was altering her about the presence of someone whom she is not ready to see yet. The man did not utter a single word and kept on looking at her. He was curious to see her response.

This collision made her look at the man, who was dressed up into a Jeans and white t-shirt with his hairs perfectly combed back.

The shopping bag she was holding in one hand fell from her hand to the floor and her grip on Erin tightened around Erin when her eyes stopped at his face.

The things scattered on the floor. She placed her palm at her mouth in shock. 'It is an illusion'. She said to herself, 'but how can I smell his scent?' she questioned herself. Celeste was thinking logically even at this time.

Edwin was just looking at her. He struggled every second to see her this close and now when she is standing here, just some inches apart it all seems surreal. To be able to see her standing in front of him Edwin was quenching his thirst with eyes, purely filled with love. The sight was unrealistic for him too.

Celeste is still in disbelief. She tried to confirm the reality by touching his face with her palm. His tiny facial hairs poked in her smooth and soft flesh making her realize that everything is real. Before she could pull her hand back he immediately held her palm in his big ones and kissed it. "I missed you". Edwin said in a gentle and deep voice that sent butterflies in her stomach.

He looked more mature than before. In the past, he used to have a little cheerful look, which was nowhere to be found. He looked mature yet gentle and caring.

Celeste, who had not recovered from the shock, kept on looking at him. She has imagined this scene over the past year. But now, when everything is happening she is unable to react. She wanted to be angry at him for pushing her away, now she can't do this fearing that he will go away from her once again. Her body did not obey her, Celeste tiptoed and hugged him from his neck, throwing herself onto him. He stumbled due to the unexpected force but recovered in a second and supported her from her waist and placed his face in the crook of her neck. Baby Erin was becoming a sandwich between them but unexpectedly she did not cry.

She could feel and understand the presence of both parents and even for a 5 months old baby it was a happiest moment.

Celeste felt hot tiny water droplets falling on her shoulder. It was spring and the weather was a little hot so she was wearing an off shoulder top. Tears were uncontrollably falling and staining her face and shirt. "I missed you so much". He said once again. The longing could be sensed by his tone.

Edwin continued to hug her tighter and tighter as a result it made their daughter cry, gaining their attention for the first time. He did not separate from Celeste and instead raised his head to look at the tiny adorable figure, who stopped crying after glancing at him once.

As soon as Noah entered his house, he saw her laying in the living room, watching television. He was afraid to face her these days, her mood swings were no joke. She was keeping him on the toes all the time. If he knew this would happen, he would reconsider his decision of having kids. With a little fear in his eyes he glanced at her and made his voice as gentle as possible, "I am home".

Instead of welcoming him, she rolled her eyes at him. He sighed as the things were going to be tough. He sat in front of her, "How are you?" he tried to strike a conversation with her.

"Why does it concern you? You don't even care for me. Go.... go back to your work. It is more important than me. Live there in your office".

Noah sighed with frustration and massaged his temple, "Now, what grave sin have I committed this time?" he asked the reason behind her behaviour.

"Sin? I called you and you did not receive it. Noah I am telling you, it is the limit of my tolerance".

'I am on the edge too'. He complained silently. "I was in the meeting when you called.... and it rang only twice. When I was about to attend it you ended the call."

"Are you saying it is my fault? Then, you should have called back". She was nit-picking too much.

"I am sorry". He was quick to apologize, trying to cool her down. He did not have time to call her back and she is not ready to listen to excuses.

"We decided to go on a walk and you are coming just now".
